Guest Relations and Patient Transport :

• The incumbent carries out required performance of this position as transportation program support assistant Guest Relations Program to the Office of Veteran Experience. The program is designed to provide Veterans/patients, their families and visitors with staff who can respond quickly to inquiries, identify problems, and improve the experience of those visiting the campus. The services are designed to respond to customer immediate needs including navigation, direction, and information assistance.
• As a key challenge of patients, navigating the campus will be a primary focus along with providing a positive first impression. For those who do not know how to access medical center programs and/or services, personal assistance will be provided by the staff. The incumbent serves as the initial, as well as the final point of contact for guests entering and leaving the facility and is a key influence toward patient/public perception. In this role, the incumbent performs these responsibilities using skills that will foster a culture of care at the VA facility. The incumbent is assigned to the Office of Veteran Experience and Employee Engagement.
• The incumbent performs customer service guest relations, shows understanding, friendliness, courtesy, tact, empathy, cooperation, concern, politeness respect and dignity to others; relates well to people from varied backgrounds and different situations. He/She receives, greets and direct callers over the telephone and in person with precise clear instructions. He/She provides a variety of information about the organization, its functions, and activities and is able to meet the needs of the individual and explain in general terms the information in a way that is understandable to the target audience. or to resolve confusion surrounding the inquiry. He/She provides the assistance requested to ease the experience of the customer. He/She directs Veterans, visitors, and callers to appropriate staff member and/or department based on specific request or by determining the nature of the need and initiates service recovery when needed. Serves as a receptionist for visitors entering the institution, provides necessary information, and arranges for contacts with appropriate departments.

Processes all visitors entering the institution by checking their identification, and using a metal detector to ensure no weapons and contraband enter the institution.

Checks all visitors' identification upon departure from the institution to ensure against potential inmate escapes.

IT Shared Services Support

• Provide end-user support for system functional, operational and technical basis; assist in troubleshooting, testing and maintenance.

• Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), user training with vendors, stakeholders, and end users, track application issues and upgrades closely.

  Requirement
• Minimum diploma in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• Proficient in MS Office Full Suite including NAV ERP and Office 365, Windows server setting up, MySQL, IT Domain knowledge.
• Knowledge of F&B or Retail business IT workflow and ERP system interface.
• Prior project experience related to IOT tools on F&B Manufacturing & Distribution would be advantageous.
• Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning implementation and maintenance.

Salary: £24,909 -£25,116 (pro rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 16 per week, 39 weeks sessional

We are looking to appoint an organised and pro active individual with good communication skills to join our very busy Health & Wellbeing faculty. The role is to provide support to 3 teachers.

A good level of IT skills is essential as we utilise email, online systems for ordering and digital recipes.

The main duties of the role include; online food ordering, preparing for practical cookery lessons, maintaining food stocks, admin tasks , preparing fabric and patterns for Fashion courses, maintaining the preparation room and classrooms.

A good knowledge of kitchen hygiene safety is desirable is however we would support the successful candidate to achieve a food hygiene qualification.

The hours of work are Monday- Thursday 12:00-16:00
