Come on an amazing journey with us! We are looking for an experienced Assistant Service Manager to join our brand new team working at our service in the village of Radlett, near St Albans in Hertfordshire.
This exciting new service is home to adults with a learning disability and potentially other associated support needs living in three newly refurbished bungalows.
You and your team will be supporting them to live as independently as possible in the community and help them to create their own home.
You will have the amazing opportunity to make a wonderful impact on people's lives and support the Service Manager to lead a great team who you will support on shifts as part of the role, receiving full support from the beginning of your journey with us. Each bungalow has an Assistant Service Manager as well as a Support Worker staff team and a Service Manager oversees all 3 bungalows.

Our ideal Assistant Service Manager looks like this!
- Experience in a similar role within social care e.g. Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader etc.
- Experience supporting people who have learning disabilities and/or complex needs
- Experience of managing budgets and financial information
- Knowledge of sector relevant legislation regulatory bodies and their standards
- Ability to work with your Service Manager to manage and lead a successful and positive team.
- Understands the balance between keeping our people safe and positive risk taking.
- Stay up to date with policies and procedures to carry out and maintain safe and best practices.
- Support the Service Manager to recruit new employees and develop and manage your staff team in a fair and consistent manner.
- Work with your Service Manager to reinforce a positive culture of continuous improvement.
- Act as the Service Manager in their absence.
- To be able to take part in a management cover rota which could include day and night shifts.
- Driver with full UK valid driving licence essential - ability to travel to the service location and drive the service vehicle/s.
