Duties and responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes or residential settings
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Support with administering medications and monitor health conditions as needed
- Assist clients with light housekeeping tasks and maintain a clean and safe environment
- Promote independence and encourage individuals to participate in social and recreational activities
- Document and report any changes in individuals' conditions or behaviors
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best possible care.
- Raise any safeguarding issues for our clients
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required as training can be provided
- Compassionate and patient demeanour with a genuine desire to help others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
