Job Description

Provide care and support to service users within a very sheltered housing facility.

These posts consist of four shifts a week on a set rolling 4 week rota which includes working one weekend on and one weekend off.

Shift times, early shift 07:15 - 14:45, late shift 14:15 - 21:45

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 3 months of employment. Due to the changes to SSSC and the closure to the SSSC portal, the 3 months will start counting from the 3rd of June 2024.

Live Life Aberdeenshire are looking for someone with excellent customer service / assistant and driving skills to join our libraries and cultural team.

You will be required to provide an efficient and punctual delivery / collection service to all customers and identified facilities in Aberdeenshire, assist in basic maintenance in libraries.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Driver and Doorstep Delivery team based at library headquarters in Oldmeldrum. In this full-time position you will assist in creating bespoke book bundles for our customers who are unable to get to the library using our library management system to identify customer preferences and delivering the books directly to the customer's door.

You will also be required to deliver resources to all libraries across Aberdeenshire including our school libraries.
