The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a commercial construction environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to be responsible for the co-ordination and production of tender and

contract planning duties.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Preparation of Pre-tender Programmes, to include all relevant information in relation to site visits and resources required in the execution of the contract.
• Responsible for production of the Master Programme in conjunction with the site representatives, and issue for distribution
• Attend Sub Contract and Client Site Meetings as required

To act as one of the Councils Arboricultural Officers surveying public trees in the borough. the council are responsible for the management of approximately 40,000 trees.
Your key responsibilities will be;

1. To assist in the delivery of a comprehensive borough wide tree inspection and maintenance programme in partnership with internal stakeholders (i.e. Highways, Housing, Parks Service).
2. Undertake surveys and inspections of Council trees and accurately record all data collected on the asset management system (Confirm Arboriculture).
3. Prepare, issue and monitor the completion of tree work schedules in accordance with contract documentation and the following legislation; Highways Act 1980, Traffic Management Act 2005, New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.
4. Take personal responsibility for decisions made, ensuring integrity, openness and fairness, clearly explaining reasons for decision.

Other tasks will include but not be limited to having an;

1. Understanding, knowledge and ability to follow guidelines that ensures compliance with Health and Safety at Work, Data Protection and other statutory requirements.
