What you’ll be doing as a Construction Assurance Engineer

- Supporting essential design and delivery reviews, identifying risks and issues, and working with stakeholders to resolve them.

Our client is accelerating the build out of renewable energy infrastructure to reach net zero. They are starting with battery storage, storing up energy for when it’s needed most to create a more reliable, flexible and greener grid.

Due to growth, they are they are looking to add another Construction Project Manager to their project delivery team to manage the construction of their battery storage projects from the end of the development phase through to the start of commercial operations.

Main Responsibilities

Managing the pre-construction phase of the project (following project development)

- Primarily focused on managing an internal project team in the lead up to construction contract signatures
- Supporting the procurement team in the lead-up to contract signatures
- Prepare pre-construction information and other key HSE docs
- Develop and own the pre-construction risk register, schedule and budget


Managing the construction phase to meet agreed time, quality and budget targets

- You are familiar with managing contractors deliverables (time, budget, scope) using a FIDIC, NEC or similar types of contract
- Electrical engineering background (desirable)

We’re recruiting for two experienced Asset Condition Surveyors to join our Justice & Immigration (J&I) FM contract. You must have at least 5 years’ experience in a PFI setting, to take on this crucial role in evaluating and assessing the physical state of various assets, such as buildings, infrastructure, or equipment.

You will be responsible for conducting detailed inspections, documenting conditions, and analysing data to provide accurate reports on the status of assets across our J&I Estate. To add immediate value, it is imperative that you are a qualified engineer in one of the BES disciplines and working knowledge of building services engineering in a commercial/custodial setting.

Whilst this role reports directly to Head of Surveying you will be required to work closely with and take direction from the Head of Asset Management (HoAM), accountabilities will include:


- Perform thorough onsite inspections of mechanical/electrical assets, utilising appropriate experience, tools and techniques to assess their condition across the J&I Estate
- Document and record detailed observations, including any defects, damages, or areas requiring maintenance or repair.
- Collect and analyse data to determine the overall health and performance of assets.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including FM engineers/managers, project managers, to communicate findings and recommend appropriate actions.
- Stay abreast of industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements related to asset condition assessment.

What you’ll need to do the role

First and foremost, you must be a qualified engineer in one of the BES disciplines and have the required knowledge, experience, application, and understanding of asset data collections and lifecycle principles.
You will be competent producing reports, working with large data sets and meeting deadlines.

MOJ FM Custodial experience essential and a prerequisite for this role.

Finally, flexibility is a must – This is a mobile role covering locations nationally across the UK therefore must have a flexible approach to travel to/from sites and be prepared to stay away from home, potentially this could be up to 2-3 nights a week.

We’re recruiting for a qualified experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Justice & Immigration (J&I) FM contract.

You will play a key role in the management, development and delivery of delivery of lifecycle modelling and asset replacement programmes across the J&I estate by managing all aspects of FM pricing / cost modelling.

As part of the Senior Management Team (SMT) you will report directly to Head of Surveying and will work closely with the F&M Asset management, Projects and Mobilisation, Transition and Transformation (MTT) Team.

It is imperative you have the relevant quantity surveyor qualifications alongside the required technical knowledge, competence and understanding of building construction, fabric and building engineering services.
Your comprehensible commercial awareness and excellent detailed knowledge of past and present building surveying, processes and principles will ensure you can deliver on accountabilities such as:


- Advise on lifecycle/dilapidation projects and determine/manage business/financial requirements aligned to the Risk.
- Develop, organise and manage comprehensive pricing documentation for competitive tender activities including preparing PTE’s and BQ’s.
- Support procurement colleagues with management of tender RFI’s, supplier clarifications and tender adjudication activities.
- Support J&I FM Bid team with new bids and re-bid opportunities.
- Undertake risk, value management and cost control during post contract, practical delivery and final account stages of projects.
- Champion working towards gaining ISO 19650 for Building Information Modelling (BIM) including the creation and development of digital modelling of the existing J & I Estate.


What you’ll need to do the role

First and foremost, you will hold the relevant quantity surveying and/or equivalent industry qualifications and hold recognised professional body accreditation or working towards (RICS, CIPS, CIOB or equivalent).

As with any skilled role at this level, you will have sound technical knowledge, competence and understanding of building construction, fabric and building engineering services. Proficient in the use and application of SPONS, NSR for estimating, tendering.

Excellent understanding of CDM Regulations and can demonstrate ability to apply its principles to coordinate/advise Client, PD and PC duties.

You will enjoy working as part of a team, using influencing skills to negotiate and resilience and determination to succeed in a fast paced high pressure environment.

We’re recruiting for a qualified experienced Surveyor to join our Justice & Immigration (J&I) FM contract.
You will play a key role in the management and delivery of detailed condition reports, identification of defects and advise/guide on repair, maintenance and upgrade options and strategies across the Serco J&I estate. Being a chartered building surveyor, you will assess the estate and provide project management support on associated capital works initiatives including advice, guidance, support with safety and energy efficiency/sustainability improvements and wider capital expenditure. Developing lifecycle models for asset replacement programmes and actively support project management of dilapidation activities and the scoping and delivery of capital projects, preparing project briefs, works scope, specifications and tenders.
As part of the Senior Management Team (SMT) you will report directly to FM Director, managing a Team of Surveyors and QS/Estimators and will be required to work closely with and take direction on occasion from Head of Asset Management (HoAM), Head of Projects (HoP) and Head of MTT (HoMTT)
You will have comprehensible commercial awareness and have worked in a similar role managing and motivating others. Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $222,700 and $322,300. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries and/or OTE for sales roles, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
