What you’ll be doing as a Construction Assurance Engineer
- Supporting essential design and delivery reviews, identifying risks and issues, and working with stakeholders to resolve them.
- Focused on the construction phase of projects, assessing and reporting project progress, acting to rectify matters, and taking the lead on the escalation process if necessary. Also, ensuring all non-conformance is identified and rectified.
- Ensure all commissioning activities, including takeover testing, are defined in the commissioning plan, satisfactorily completed, and recorded.
- Managing the identification and resolution of snags, and after Takeover, liaising with Operators and contractors to manage the defects, aftercare process, and performance testing.
- Monitoring, agreeing, and approving Take Over tests with the project team.
- Ensuring that required project documentation meets our specifications and approving information for taking over.
- Working as an active member of one or more project teams with one or more of our contractors.
Hybrid– Maple Lodge Sewage Treatment Works.
36 hours a week, Monday to Friday. This role will require you to be in the office and on-site 3-4 days a week.
What you should bring to the role
- Have a background within an engineering environment or an Engineering Degree or HNC.
- Have a significant Health and safety qualification National Examination Board in Occupational Safety or Institution of Occupational Safety and Health or Construction Certificate, hold a Site Management Safety certificate, or be willing to gain one.
- Be driven, resilient, and tenacious under pressure, wanting to deliver projects on time, cost, and quality.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to interact with our stakeholders and contractors.
- Foster a positive Health and safety culture within the team and contractors, ensuring we assert all environmental and Health and safety statutory obligations.

- Competitive salary from £40,000 to £48,000 per annum.
