Salary: £50 - 65k (negotiable - depending upon experience)

The Project:
A diverse portfolio of civil engineering schemes ranging from road improvements, concrete repairs & reinstatements, aviation projects, paving repairs, utilities and specialist framework projects. The initial project that you would be assigned is a highways and structures project.
The Role:
This is the perfect opportunity working with a well known civils contractor, who hold an excellent reputation in the regionally.
This role will be site based 5 days a week.
You will be responsible for:
- Procuring sub-contractors, agreeing prices and letting the packages
- Negotiating costs with various parties
- Drawing up contracts (NEC)
- Monthly reporting (CVR)
- Responsible for work package change control and management
- Dealing with any pricing variations
- Responsible for project re-measure
- Preparing final accounts
- Change management
- Managing subcontractors
- Working within an integrated team
Requirements:
- NEC 4 Option B and E experience
- Degree / HND in Quantity Surveying
- Excellent IT and maths skills are essential
- Attention to detail
- Excellent report writing and negotiation skills are essential
- Experience in - highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks and special works
Benefits:
- £50,000 - 60,000 per annum (depending on experience) + package
