The Role: New Business Senior Underwriter - Property and Casualty
We are representing a well-established, award-winning Commercial Lines Insurer that is expanding its Birmingham team with a New Business Senior Underwriter specializing in Property and Casualty. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team known for service excellence and strong industry recognition.

As a Senior Underwriter, you'll play a critical role in managing the branch's profitability and income, impacting financial results for designated accounts and broker partners. Key Responsibilities:
* Represent the organization by presenting solutions for larger Mid-Market and Mid-Corporate risks, utilizing industry knowledge and technical underwriting expertise.
* Collaborate with Trading Underwriters to develop customized coverage options that align with client needs.
* Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified Mid-Market and Mid-Corporate growth opportunities, strengthening relationships with brokers and clients.
* Lead large case management for new business, with a focus on profitable growth.

* Underwrite new business in alignment with company standards, serving as a referral point for other team Underwriters.

* While this role does not have direct reports, you will be supporting and coaching other Underwriters to enhance team performance.

Working as part of a specialist team, as a Supervisor, your role will be involved in the man management of a team of technicians and agency staff who are responsible for the restoration of commercial properties following flooding or fires, where the are stripping our those properties of their damaged fixtures and fittings and drying out / cleaning up of the properties. ensuring team compliance, provide support to Project Managers, assist your teams with technical difficulties, CDM, effective control of sub contract budget and costs, coordination of suppliers and deliveries to site, ensure staff productivity, regular report writing, team performance management, keeping accurate records, conducting appraisals, working to KPI’s, quality & Health& Safety audits, and other related duties.

To be considered for the role Property Restoration Supervisor, you will have previous experience in a similar damage restoration position along with construction site supervision, will ideally hold a PASMA and IPAF certificate, have manual dexterity, good level of electrical and mechanical knowledge, pc literate and a good level of general education.

You will have excellent communication skills along with empathy and customer service skills. You must be able to work away from home on a regular basis during very busy times where accommodation will be paid and you will receive a £25.00 dinner allowance per night.

Working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm covering the Midlands part of the UK UK. It is essential that you have a full UK manual driving licence (no more than 6 points on licence) and your own transport to be considered for the role.

As a Trainee Restoration Technician, you will be involved in the restoration of commercial and some residential properties following events such as fire or flooding. You will be responsible for stripping out properties of their fixtures and fittings following water / fire damage, setting up equipment to begin and complete the drying out process so that the property can be restored back to full use. You will upload project reports and updates to company claims management system. You will attend team meetings and will be required to travel extensively and stay away from home regularly during the week and when required in fully expensed accommodation with a meal allowance.

To be considered for the role of Trainee Restoration Technician , you will have previous experience in a similar damage restoration or construction labouring position where you have worked extensive with building materials, you will have manual dexterity, pc literate and a good level of general education. A rapidly growing Commercial law firm based in Birmingham City Centre is seeking an experienced Paralegal, paying up to £24,500 plus benefits. This is a newly created and exciting role due to the rapidly growing team.

The Paralegal will be supporting the Real Estate Team, in particular on case involving Real Estate Development work, Residential conveyancing and Plot Sales. Previous Lease Extension work would also be advantageous in this role.

Duties will include the following:

• Managing multiple workflow trackers, calendar management (pertaining to completion/
• AP1, Cancellation and SDLT submission deadlines).
• Assisting with the day-to-day supervision of the paralegals and trainees within
• the team, ensuring they are delivering a quality service and meeting client expectations.
• Dealing with client enquiries

• Reviewing replies to pre-completion requisitions

The firm are ideally looking for an experienced candidate with over two years experience in paralegal work. You will have some experience in a paralegal role that includes property contracts following exchange and through to completion and registration, as well as dealing with matters in volume. Experience in development work, residential conveyancing and plot sales would be most suitable.
