Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and self-sufficient couple to manage and maintain a private estate comprising three modern-tech properties, kitchen gardens, and landscaped areas. This is a live-in, full-time position offering a unique opportunity to create a way of life on the estate. The role involves overseeing various aspects of property management, maintenance, housekeeping, and collaboration with external contractors when the family are not in residence.

When the family are in residence, cooking, driving and looking after their needs is the priority, whilst managing other duties. The ability to prioritise is key.

Key Responsibilities
Property Management & Maintenance:
• Oversee the general upkeep and maintenance of each property.
• Conduct regular inspections of the properties to ensure they are in pristine condition.
• Perform minor repairs and liaise with specialised contractors for larger maintenance tasks.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation, including polishing and deep cleaning.

Housekeeping & Cooking:
• Handle daily housekeeping tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and bed preparation.
• Cooking as required for the estate’s owners, family and guests.
• Shopping for groceries, supplies, and other household essentials as needed.

Gardening & Landscaping:
• Manage and maintain kitchen gardens, ensuring they are well-tended and productive.
• Collaborate with and oversee landscape contractors to ensure outdoor areas are maintained to a high standard.
• Assist with occasional gardening tasks to supplement the work of contractors.
• Maintain swimming pool and tennis court.

Driving & Errands:
• Drive locally for shopping trips, appointments, and other errands as required.
• Assist with transportation of the owners or guests when needed.

Requirements:
• A couple with relevant experience in live-in position to include but not limited to housekeeping, gardening, and general maintenance.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to self-manage and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Practical knowledge of modern property systems, including high-tech home automation, security, and energy systems.
• Housekeeping experience, with attention to detail and an eye for cleanliness.

We are working with a Tier 1 national contractor who are in need of a Quantity Surveyor to join their M&E business team.

They are one of the the largest building and MEP contractors in the UK and work on Framework and targeted 2 stage, negotiated bids only and your role will be to work with the teams delivering projects in the Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire areas. Projects are £25 to £150 million in value and range from education, MOJ, office schemes, refurbs, data centres and commercial/industrial schemes.

The initial scheme is a major new redevelopment of an existing prison complex and is a joint venture between their construction team and in house M&E services team so teamwork, collaboration and information flow are paramount.

The MEP package is valued at circa £30 million.

They are open to candidates from a specialist MEP subcontractor background or Tier 1 or 2 contractor with experience of managing complex MEP packages on major projects.

The role is to work on bid and preconstruction with the estimating and design teams to analyse and investigate the best ways to deliver the scheme in terms of budget, quality and performance. Identify and partner with specialist subcontractors a swell as in house delivery teams as well. Once through the bid and 2nd stage negotiations you will be taking the schemes out onto site.You will be looking after an Assistant QS on site and have overview and responsibility for the commercial health of the M&E elements of the projects including managing sub contract packages, procurement of materials and plant, remeasure, valuations, payments, managing variation accounts, forecasting, CVR's etc.
