Role overview:

Randstad is looking for Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of our social housing projects. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control, from initial estimates through to final accounts, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.

Offering up to £60,000 + Car allowance

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for social housing construction projects.
Conduct site visits to assess project progress and identify potential cost variations.
Carry out responsive, planned maitenance and voids.
Manage and monitor project finances, ensuring accurate valuations, cost reports, and final accounts.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
Provide financial advice and guidance to project teams to optimize cost efficiency.
Manage risk and resolve any contractual or financial disputes.
Support tendering processes and evaluate potential contractors.

Experience Requirements:

3-5 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the social housing sector.
Knowlege of NHF SOR version 7 is desirable.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., RICS accreditation)
Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Excel, cost management software).
Strong knowledge of measurement, valuation, cost management, and procurement processes.
A commitment to quality, sustainability, and the social housing mission.
