This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station's vast network of rooms.

The role
As a Senior Construction Manager you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. You will ensure that the building is delivered on time, budget and quality whilst promoting onsite health and safety including inspections to ensure safety rules are being implemented in support of a positive Nuclear Safety Culture

Day-to-day, you'll;

• Provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project.
• Manage all the day-to-day aspects of construction and site engineering ensuring that safe systems of work are adhered to.
• Manage the interfaces between the MEH partners and subcontractors to ensure building delivery
• Lead, manage and motivate the building construction team through implementation of best practice.
• Ensure productivity reviews are being carried out and reports are available Review of engineering design deliverables, procedures & RAMs.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week, and is based full time onsite.

Essential experience of the Senior Construction Manager:

• Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent working experience
• Relevant Professional Accreditation or equivalent working experience
• IOSH or NEBOSH
• Experience of operating within a highly regulated industry
• Ability to build strong relationships with employees and contractors

Desirable experience of the Senior Construction Manager:

• Previous experience of Joint Venture Partnerships

Job Overview

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary, multivendor, and multi-location team in the development and implementation of the MPower L5 time-sheeting and planning tool. This role includes managing subcontractor relationships, developing an integrated schedule, and ensuring the successful delivery of the tool, including integration with Oracle P6 and an Azure Data Lake.

Key Competencies

• Project Management: Demonstrated leadership in managing complex projects across various teams and locations.
• Vendor Management: Experience in managing third-party vendor relationships and subcontractors, ensuring dependencies and critical paths are closely monitored.

The Wessex Reserve Forces’ & Cadets’ Association (RFCA) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and promoting the 4,500 tri-service Reservists and 14,600 Cadets across the seven counties of the South West (Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Gloucestershire Wiltshire, the City & County of Bristol) plus the Channel Islands, as well as providing support and assistance to the employers of Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers.
