Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor. As a pivotal member of the South West Water framework, you will play a key role in managing commercial aspects of projects, ensuring cost efficiency, and maintaining profitability while upholding standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all commercial aspects of assigned projects within the South West Water framework.
- Manage cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting throughout project lifecycle.
- Liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve commercial issues and ensure smooth project delivery.
- Conduct thorough contract reviews and negotiations to mitigate risks and maximize opportunities.
- Provide accurate and timely valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team, fostering their professional development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the water sector, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
- Extensive knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
