Support Worker
£12.00 per hour - 30 hours per week

About the role:
You will be able to help people you support to live the life they want, ensuring they have choices and control over the planning and delivery of their support. You will enable them to reach their potential by providing both physical and emotional support, along with encouraging them to develop positive relationships socially. You will be working with individuals both at home and within the community
At Elgin we are a lively service! The people we support enjoy a variety of activities including: swimming, horse riding, going to the gym, socialising, shopping and spending time with friends and family.
Working with a variety of individuals in Elgin you will provide support with:
Day to day tasks
Personal care
Medication administration
Social integration
Hobbies and interests
Appointments
You will help to organise and participate in activities and you’ll support a range of life skills. You will be comfortable with lone working during a typical shift. An understanding and/or experience of autism and recognised qualifications such as SVQ 2/3 are preferred for this role, although not essential as Real Life Options will put you through the SVQ 2/3.
Shift pattern and working hours;
Successful applicants will cover a variety of shifts, examples of shift patterns are as follows:
8:00am – 4:00pm
10:00am – 6:00pm
8.30 am – 8-30 pm
4pm – 9pm
3:00pm – 10:00pm
Sleepover shift: 11:00pm – 11:00am
**Sleepover shifts are an essential part of the rota, applicants must be prepared to work sleepovers
Due to the nature of the role and the activities the people we support like to participate in, a driver with a clean license is highly advantageous.
In addition due to our location, limited public transport links and shift patterns candidates need to be drivers or local to the area.
An enhanced PVG will be required for this role
