As a construction project manager, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of our precast concrete construction projects. Job description:
• Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to develop and implement construction project plans, including timelines, milestones, and budgets.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for the delivery and installation of precast concrete components.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including design, engineering, and production, to ensure all project requirements are met.
• Oversee the preparation of design specifications for precast elements, ensuring compliance with project needs.
• Monitor the manufacturing process of precast components, ensuring delivery and installation align with construction schedules.
• Direct the installation of precast elements on-site, managing teams to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Estimate quantities and costs of materials, equipment, or labour to determine project feasibility.
• Conducting regular financial reviews throughout the project to track expenditures to ensure alignment with the budget and make any necessary adjustments if necessary.
• Work closely with procurement teams to secure necessary materials and services in a timely manner, minimizing delays and cost overruns.
• Act as the point of contact for all stakeholders to address and resolve any issues or concerns raised during the construction process.
• Inspecting progress, ensuring conformance to specifications, and conducting site evaluations and surveys overseeing the project's execution.
• Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. To develop tender offers and contract bids.
• Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Ensure all site activities, especially those involving heavy precast components, comply with company safety standards and local regulations.
• Promote and enforce safe working practices across all construction sites.
• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the construction team, to ensure that they are progressing according to schedule and standards
• Ensure quality control processes are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to confirm the quality of work and materials used.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure all legal requirements and permits are obtained and adhered to.
• Prepare and present regular reports on project progress, financials, and any issues encountered.
• Ensure that project handover procedures are followed upon completion.
Qualifications/Attributes:
• Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil engineering or 5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of qualification.
• Must possess at least a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
• Must have great written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be excellent at time management to meet project deadlines.
• Must be proficient in the latest versions of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software packages.
Salary Range: $70,000 – $95,000 p.a. excluding superannuation.
