What’s the role?
The Head of Real Estate and Facility Management North America oversees the development and operation of ZEISS locations across the US and Canada to support business strategies, location strategies, sustainability, and efficiency goals.

Here’s what you’ll do:
Develop and execute facility and property management strategies in alignment with organizational objectives.
Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations, devising contingency plans as necessary.
Manage budgets for facilities, encompassing both capital and operating expenditures.
Supervise the maintenance and repair of facilities, including all building systems.
Lead a team comprising managers, technicians, and support staff.
Collaborate with external service providers and real estate representatives.
Evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to recommend initiatives for enhancing quality and cost-effectiveness.
Project manage real estate initiatives from conception to completion.
Maintain comprehensive facility documentation and oversee office services.
Provide support for event planning and coordination, including AV requirements.
Coordinate activities with vendors and service providers.
Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to resolve facility-related issues.
Chair site-specific tenant councils and manage internal subleases.
Maintain the ZEISS Real Estate database and service ticket system.
Develop and implement contingency plans to ensure business continuity during emergencies.
Do you qualify?
Bachelor's degree in facility management, property management, real estate, construction, engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in facility and property management, demonstrating effective leadership in both domains.
Thorough understanding of the technical aspects of building and property systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, and fire safety systems.
Proficiency in project management, budgeting, and cost control practices.
Proven track record in leading and managing teams, including navigating challenging situations such as restructuring, crisis management, and business continuity planning.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to working with both internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to present information effectively and address inquiries and sensitive issues from senior management, managers, customers, suppliers, and contractors.
Capacity to thrive under pressure, manage competing priorities, and deliver results within specified timelines.

The annual pay range for this position is
Dublin, CA $149,600 - $187,000
White plains NY $135,000 - 160,000
The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
This position is also eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions. ZEISS also offers robust benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings plan and paid time off.
