Infrastructure Services Division and contribute to the Strategic Advisory Team as a Principal Property Officer. This temporary role within the Property Services Unit offers a unique opportunity for individuals with outstanding technical and commercial expertise to play a pivotal role in facilitating the utilisation of school infrastructure across the state by third parties.As a Principal Property Officer, you will be tasked with providing high-level analysis, conducting due diligence, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify and deliver community uses for existing school facilities. Responsibilities include engagement in land management, review and implementation of infrastructure and property-related systems, policies, projects, and programs of work. Your focus will be on leading the delivery of both operational and strategic land matters, particularly in facilitating third-party use of school facilities.About You:While not mandatory, qualifications or industry experience in the Ministerial Infrastructure Designation process, site due diligence, Town Planning, Joint Development Agreements, policy and legislation, and leasing will be beneficial.Proven experience in leading the delivery of high-quality property advice, including the development of appropriate service responses to meet stakeholders' identified needs.Strong research skills and well-developed written skills, including report and brief writing.Awareness and understanding of relevant legislation and policy impacting a Queensland Government property portfolio.Willingness to stay connected to industry updates and networks, proactive and forward-thinking, with a strong motivation to work towards organisational objectives.As a Principal Property Officer (Strategic Advisory), you will:Lead and manage the implementation of property programs, including Joint Development Agreements, identification and development of third-party use and leasing programs.Analyse potential risks, opportunities, and strengths in the current portfolio, working across the department to identify opportunities and ensure consistency in decision-making.Provide timely, independent specialist property and planning advice, developing strategies, identifying emerging issues, and implementing departmental plans impacting key stakeholders.Identify legislative and policy obligations, seeking to improve the operating model within the Division and the effectiveness of the Property Services Unit.Adopt a project management approach to complex matters to achieve consolidated outcomes.Develop and sustain productive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholder groups, including other Property Services teams, property owners, schools, regional infrastructure advisors, and government departments.If you are a forward-thinking professional with a passion for contributing to community development through effective property management, we invite you to apply for this temporary Principal Property Officer position.
