• Creating and developing structural designs for a variety of projects
• Working closely with the project team to bring designs from concept to completion
• Using cutting-edge software to ensure designs are accurate and efficient

• A degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• Experience in structural design (if you've got experience in steel, timber, or concrete structures, even better!)
• Strong knowledge of industry-standard design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
• A problem-solving mindset and a passion for innovation
• Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of mechanical and electrical services to the construction industry. This company has been at the forefront of delivering bespoke and tailored design and installation services for a variety of sectors bu with a particular focus on multi-residential developments. They work closely with main contractors, developers, and end-use clients to ensure high-quality outcomes.Your new role
As a Junior Electrical Design Engineer, you will join a dynamic and supportive design department that includes both mechanical and electrical engineers. You will assist in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for a variety of projects, including multi-residential, industrial, and commercial developments. Project values range between £1 Million to £12 Million. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow your career in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll need to succeed
*Some experience in electrical design engineering within Building Services
*Proficiency in AutoCAD is necessary; knowledge of Revit is beneficial but not essential.
*A basic understanding of electrical design principles and standards.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
*Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

About the role of Design Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for you to join a new £60m project and play pivotal role in shaping the project through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design process for the project, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project objectives
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop design solutions
• Oversee the preparation and submission of design documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Monitor project timelines and budgets proactively identifying potential risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies
• Facilitate design reviews and workshops, fostering a collaborative working environment

Requirements for Design Manager

• Proven experience as a Design Manager within the construction industry preferably with a Tier 1 Contractor
• Strong understanding of construction processes, design principles and relevant regulations
• Excellent leadership skills
• Proficiency in design software and tools E.g. AutoCAD, Revit
• A degree in architecture or engineering would be advantageous
