On a daily basis the successful candidate will manage and co-ordinate all activities and tasks within batch or scheme contracts to ensure the design of schemes/solutions within pre-tender, investigation, design, construction and completion stages.

The Design Engineer will be part of the design team covering the design of clean and waste water network, civil engineering and other projects related to the water industry.

The Design Engineer must ensure that all designs are completed to CDM 2015 Regulation.

Responsibilities:

Ensuring work is carried out in a productive and timely manner, maintaining a focus on minimising risk in all functions of Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality and Commercial aspects.
To ensure design drawings and construction packages accurately reflect the work to be delivered in accordance with the relevant Engineering Specification and all relevant Asset Standards or equivalent to that contract.
Produce and check technical documents within their area of expertise and produce construction packs ready for handover to site teams.
Investigation, design, construction and completion of projects in line with client specifications, national standards and codes of practice.
Preparing and registering all relevant documentation.
Working in collaboration with other design/investigation disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
Ensure compliance with all CDM, Health & Safety, and environmental issues in relation to the development of sustainable solutions.
Derive, select and manage innovative methods and use of materials & safe systems of work that will impact heavily on projects.
To liaise with external agencies ensuring the investigation/design and construction phase runs smoothly.
Liaising with internal departments / client to ensure schemes are designed using the most cost effective method available.
Produce accurate statutory notices for work to be carried out on private land in conjunction with the client’s requirements for dealing with private land.
Actively seek out Capital efficiencies and out performance within the works
Producing reports/information documents.
Ensure Liaison with clients, contractors, government agencies, local authorities and suppliers throughout the investigation, design and construction phase.
Ensure that all the relevant information for the H/S file and completions documents are available at the end of the project
To be customer focused with great attention to detail.

Experience of using MS Office Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook
Ability to demonstrate an initiative to work on their own and as part of a team

Creative Support is seeking compassionate individuals for an exciting opportunity to be part of a team of Support Workers in our new Transforming Care Service in Preston.
The Trauma Informed Care Service will provide three single bespoke adapted supported living services in the Ingol area of Preston for women over 18 with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs with trauma histories.

The service will operate 24/7 using a trauma informed model of care to move three women out of long stay institutions into their own home in the community. The service will support women to achieve real control over their care and support to prevent re-admission to hospital and maintenance of their homes in the community.

You will have experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism and those with traumatic histories.

Due to the development of the service all staff members recruited will initially be required to work dynamically between the Registered Office and across two inpatient settings to ensure the smooth development of the service and excellent transitions of service users until all three homes have opened. The Registered Office building will be available at the onset based at Creative Support’s Space Centre in Preston.
