As a Project Design Engineer your responsibilities will include:
• Designing, developing and providing specifications of bespoke equipment
• Selecting materials & manufacturing techniques
• Ensuring design outputs conform to internal quality standards
• Outputting accurate CAD models, technical drawings and other technical documentation
• Chairing regular project design reviews with key stake holders
• Dealing with non-conformance and Engineering Change Management

We are looking for a Project Design Engineer with the following skills and experience:
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of engineering principles
• Proficient in the use of 2D & 3D CAD software (SolidWorks)
• Knowledge and understanding of the full product lifecycle process
• Experience working with and building/assembling bespoke equipment
• Familiar with critical or challenging equipment/environments where hazards are present
• Full UK driving licence


In return, the successful Project Design Engineer will receive a salary of £38,000 to £43,000 plus benefits…

What skills and experience we're looking for

• Experience of teaching, learning and assessment to at least KS3/4, preferably KS5
• A good understanding of curriculum developments
• Able to use a range of teaching and learning strategies
• Commitment to high standards in all aspects of the academy’s work
• An understanding of how Assessment for Learning can improve student performance and how to embed this within your department
• Confidence in the use of standard computer packages and how these can be used to enhance student learning
• Able to use student level data to raise standards
• Enthusiasm for your subject
• Creative problem solving together with willingness to take on and develop and try new approaches and ideas
• Ability to relate to students in a pleasant and sympathetic manner and to recognise potential safeguarding issues

· Able to communicate both orally and in writing to students and their parents
