Cloud API Application Architect, Senior Manager
The Opportunity:
Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As a cloud computing application architect, you know how to create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. What if you could use your cloud architecture skills to help modernize and secure wide access to an enterprise API ecosystem of a large government data organization? We need you to help us develop cloud-based solutions for some of the government's toughest data challenges.
As a Cloud Computing Application Architect on our team, you’ll serve as a critical contributor on a team that designs, manages, and integrates cloud applications and resources in support of a modern enterprise API ecosystem. You will manage and streamline infrastructure and cloud resources supporting gateways, public marketplaces, and application security to meet the needs of the organization and the platform's end users. You will ensure end users can operate in a highly functional, available, and secure cloud environment by implementing the use of industry standards to streamline day-to-day processes.

You Have:
- 7+ years of experience working with software development teams
- 5+ years of experience with Azure
- Experience with designing and implementing large-scale architectures on Azure
- Experience with Azure services, including API management and Developer Portal, Application Gateway, and Active Directory
- Experience with architecting solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, and security in an Azure environment
- Experience with load balancing, SSL, Wed Application Firewalls, and layer 7 routing
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using Terraform and Azure Resource Manager
- Experience with implementing application security policies and access contracts using OAuth 2.0, SAML, Federation, and SSO
- Experience with developing Linux-based solutions using commercial Cloud
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments
- Experience with deploying and maintaining databases and document stores
- Experience with deploying and managing logging and monitoring solutions supporting rapid deployments

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $134,600.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
