The Network Facilities Project Manager is the local market expert on all Retailer Design, Buildings & Equipment guidelines, responsible for ensuring that all Retailer Sales and Service new build and refurbishment projects meet all elements of Brand Standards, Showroom design and comply with contractual Retail Standards to support the achievement of the BMW Group's Retail Transformation strategy called
Retail. Next, this introduces a whole new customer experience focused on Corporate Showroom design which is being rolled out to the UK Retailer Network.

Your new role

• Act as the centre of competence on our Client's Brand Standard Buildings & Equipment guidance, both Sales and Service. Provide start-to-finish support to retailers on their facilities projects, including input into design development proposals, brand signage guidance, internal furniture, fittings & fixtures guidance and the forecasted costs.
• Manage the implementation of new Brand Standards including architecture, ICS (furniture) and OCS (brand signage) concepts. In conjunction with the Network Standards Manager, adapt the centrally provided concept materials to best suit the UK market to meet the brand and retail standards.
• The Retail transformation strategy will require a design site plan for each Retailer / Agent's new showroom identity roll-out to ensure our network's facilities are optimised and each site is ready to meet the customer-experience-focussed requirements of our businesses in the future.
• Influence commercial decisions across the network providing advice to Retailers on how to the 'right-size' and 'right-cost' projects to ensure the best possible value for money for the Retailer whilst still complying with Brand and Retail Standards.
• Develop, update and report on the milestone status of all projects, including the financial budget, and provide measurement and status reporting to all key stakeholders including our client on the progress and costs on all projects.
• Manage communication and relationships across all levels within the Retailer Network, from Investors/Owners to Heads of Business and Property Directors. Adapt the communication approach according to the audience. Influence retailers and their processes through consultation and robust plans.
• Provide advice and guidance to relevant stakeholders on all areas under the key accountabilities including Retailer Network, third party suppliers.

We are looking for a Design Manager to join a contractor based near Southampton to join their growing pre-construction team.

The company works across the Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, Dorset patch and has a highly successful and work on a range of schemes in the education, commercial, retail and industrial marketplaces and more recently have successfully been awarded the opportunity to to work on some of the latest framework opportunities for local government and local authorities as well as the larger strategic 5 year agreements as well as working on repeat business opportunities for a range of established clients.

The role you will undertake is to work on both bids and tenders all the way through to information management on the live schemes so you will have the unique insight to be able to take the scheme from tender all the way through to the build phase and finally client handover.

Precon duties will include working with bid team, estimating teams, building services and design managers to create and submit best bid possible. This is based on forensic analysis of the design process of each package, working with internal teams as well as specialist consultants and engineers as well as the supply chain to overcome issues and be able to come up with innovative ideas and suggestions for the design elements of the scheme. You will have the opportunity to work with several experienced individuals who can help train and develop your skills.

Upon contract award you will be responsible for drawings and information control with site teams, subcontractors and client. You will be expected to spend time on site working with the teams to ensure compliance with BIM and CDM requirements and work with commercial teams on RFI's, variations etc. and take responsibility for the design elements of the project as it progresses through the programme.

We're on the hunt for a Design Team Manager to become part of our team!

The Team Manager (CMI Design) leads the design team to ensure safe project designs, customer service excellence, and compliance with design standards and governance. They manage the design phase, preparing for construction by meeting all consenting requirements like access, site acquisitions, and surveys.

Youll be responsible for Principal Designers who create cost-effective designs meeting SSEN standards and overseeing engineering productivity and quality, ready for execution.

Your projects will cover network improvements, customer service enhancements, wayleave terminations and infrastructure upgrades, coordinating with investment and construction teams for timely, viable delivery.

Other roles & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Promote a strong safety culture in line with SSEN Influencing Behaviours by ensuring staff and partners challenge, praise, understand, and follow safety rules to meet performance targets.

- Responsible for the design phase of all construction projects within their portfolio of works.

- Ensure that all schemes passed into the construction phase are fully designed and constructible in line with SSENs policies and procedures.

- Carry out the day-to-day line management of the design team focussing on performance and productivity by encouraging their development, setting clear objectives, and developing their sense of ownership for achieving them.

- Address present and future customer needs, ensuring staff and contractors apply them throughout the customer journey including active involvement with all customers.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Great coaching, mentoring and performance management skills.

- Good knowledge of the design of Distribution Networks and Power Distribution operations up to 33kV on both overhead line and underground networks.

- Excellent understanding of statutory, regulatory & license requirements, industry wide codes, network, and engineering standards. Knowledge of the design, operation, protection and safety of HV/EHV electricity networks.

- A minimum of an HNC or equivalent in electrical and electronic engineering and a good understanding of CDM roles and responsibilities.

- Good understanding of Supplier Relationship Management to source, deploy and manage external suppliers including developing and managing contracts.

It is an essential requirement for this role that you have a full, current driving licence.
