Position Summary
This position entails engineering of tire 3D CAD models and support drawings to support virtual tire development, analysis, and mold tooling creation. You will be rewarded and challenged in a fast paced role where you will develop our intelligent, virtual product definition in PTC Creo software using advanced CAD modeling techniques like you’ve never seen before. Experience with family tables and knowledge of pro program would be a big plus!
- Interact with a cross functional development team to define, analyze, and predict tire tread performance using our in-house developed tools, and FEA software. Develop best in class, fully robust, parametric CAD models that are driven through equations, relations, and logic based programming.
- Use experience, knowledge, and creativity to conceive and implement ideas for new technology development in 3D modeling and mold tooling. Be an active contributor in developing, refining, and optimizing our modeling best practices.
- Become a subject matter expert and lead enhancement of existing processes and software tools and work to implement modifications that result in increased productivity and functionality. Be the “go to” person to solve technical challenges in 3D model geometry, stamping, mold tooling, and virtual analysis.
- Participate in cross functional team activities to support short and long term business needs and projects.
- Learn new ways of doing things from some of the most highly skilled Creo users in the area in our regular training sessions. Participate in formal and informal Creo training to build skill set, develop expertise, and establish best practices
- Work with a highly motivated, and supportive team in a family style atmosphere.
- Grow your skill set, develop Creo mastery, and become a mentor to others within Bridgestone.
- Plan, organize and control projects daily. Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Develop and maintain reference documents, technical work instructions, and best practices.
Qualifications
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or equivalent work experience.
Required experience with PTC CREO 3D modeling.
