As a Senior Applications Engineer, you will use your knowledge of different high-speed interface standards such as PCIe, CXL, Ethernet and USB to provide technical pre-sales support to win design IP business and showcase the performance of the IP through demos at industry events. This role offers the benefit of both technical growth and business skill development. You will be part of the Technical Field Organization helping educate customers and providing solutions to them using our Serdes IP portfolio.  As you grow into more senior roles, you will use your knowledge of different high-speed interface standards to architect solutions for customers using Cadence IPs. Our serial interface PHY and controller IPs are used in data centers, mobile devices, automobiles and consumer devices. Responsibilities include:

·       Technical pre-sales of High-Speed Interface IP, including PCIe, CXL and Ethernet PHY and Controllers

·       Present Cadence’s IP portfolio and capabilities to prospective customers

·       Work closely with IP Sales staff, marketing and R&D teams to win opportunities

·       Provide quick-turn product specific technical support to customers, field teams, architects and designers

·       Write application notes and articles for internal and/or external publication

·       Travel to customer sites may be required occasionally

 

Qualifications:

·       BS in EE, CE or related equivalent with 2+ years of relevant work experience or MS in EE, CE

·       Individual leadership and initiative to manage pre-sales accounts and sell IP

·       Excellent presentation skills and verbal/written communication skills is a must

 

 

Nice to have:

·       Experience on high-speed interface controller and/or PHY design/verification

·       Working knowledge of high-speed interface PHY

·       Knowledge of one or more high speed interface protocols – PCIe, CXL, UCIe, Ethernet, USB, MIPI, 112G, 56G

·       Lab validation or demo setup experience

 

The annual salary range for California is $80,500 to $149,500. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. The Senior Network Architect will provide technical leadership in the delivery of solutions that meet customer requirements in an RFP (Request for Proposals) process. The Senior Network Architect will be a thought leader in the planning, design and implementation of customer systems as well as the development of new product platforms.

The Senior Network Architect is responsible for analyzing business and technical requirements and for delivery of infrastructure solutions by leveraging technology guidelines. Candidate will be a networking expert addressing the challenges of systems integration, while leading technical triage of our most complex networking issues. The candidate will have a full understanding of industry best-practices and may serve in a variety of roles that include customer and third-party vendor interaction to resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. An expert in network engineering with overall understanding of our product solutions is required. Candidate should have a mastery of a wide range of network architectures to support 24/7 transactional systems. Must be able to provide technical write-ups and drawings to promote the proposed solutions to include providing quotes from third party suppliers to support the proposed hardware, software, and cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leadership and influence as this individual will work across the organization with multiple and varied technical teams to define, design, and drive the development and delivery of complex technical strategy and solutions. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

Job Details:

• An expert level understanding of network infrastructure design and best practice principles including routing and switching concepts and technologies, advanced IP addressing, dynamic routing protocols. MPLS, Secure and resilient routing solutions, Unified communications, Load balancing and traffic management, Quality of Service (QOS), Wireless and Mobile communications.
• Highly advanced troubleshooting and problem diagnosis skills developed from proven experience
• Subject Matter Expert responsible for mentoring our global staff including skills evaluation, change implementation reviews and partnership with our global network manager
• An in-depth understanding of end-to-end secure network concepts, technologies and
• protocols including Access control, Next generation, Web application and Stateful firewalls technologies, Intrusion prevention, Encryption (IPSEC, SSL, PKI), Security event information management systems, Proxy services.
• Responsible for designing solutions, aligned with customer requirements for projects initiated by supported lines of business in coordination with other technical departments
• Works with a wide range of engineering resources as needed, ensuring that end-to-end network design is completed
• Prepares design specifications, analyses and recommendations based on customer requirements. Including networking, cloud, on-premise solutions. 
• Researches system designs and enhancement solutions.
• Partners with project team to complete technical design documents
• Partners with PM to document implementation tasks for the project
• Responsible for ensuring that the designed solution addresses all business and systems (functional/non-functional) requirements
• Maintains liaison with customer, subcontractor and vendor representatives.
• Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
• Conducts in-house design reviews and technical meetings.
• Makes presentations before management and customers.
• Assumes additional technical and non-technical responsibilities as needed include proof-of-concepts and implementing solution designs.
• Hybrid position on-site at San Diego headquarters or West Coast USA.
• Travel domestic and international up to 25% as needed.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronic Engineering or other related technical discipline, and/or the combined equivalent of education and experience.
• Ten years' experience, including network design/development/implementation, providing technical direction and leadership to team members.
• Competent use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Project, Visio, PowerPoint..
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills Able to positively interact with customers, subcontractors and vendors. 
• Must be able to solve complex and difficult system problems.
• Some travel may be required.
• Able to work flexible hours as required.
• Ability to manage simultaneous projects in multiple locations across the United States and internationally.

Do you have a passion for pixel-perfect iOS designs, solving problems at scale, and building complex tools? Adobe Design is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our Spectrum Design Engineering team. We bridge design and technology, providing Adobe with tools, infrastructure, and services that enable design consistency across a range of products. Your role will help iOS product teams build with Spectrum-based components, using design data to ensure implementation accuracy.

These components will be used across multiple products. Senior team members participate in key planning activities, such as feature discovery, system architecture, requirements definition, project scope, and delivery. Overall, this role has direct ownership and plays a key role in ensuring Spectrum is available for our customers in a timely, stable, and scalable way.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with the Spectrum design team to ensure Spectrum's aesthetic is built into our libraries while maintaining an idiomatic iOS API for library consumers.

• Understand and derive data from designs, map data to clear abstractions, and integrate that design data into the Spectrum framework using patterns expected by iOS developers.

• Partner with internal product teams to define, build, support, and validate implementations of Spectrum in Adobe’s iOS products.

• Work with various toolsets and teams to understand design’s requirements and communicate engineering concerns back to design.

• Assist in the discovery and delivery of fixes needed for Spectrum implementation gaps

• Specialist understanding of Swift, Objective-C and iOS Frameworks as applied to app or framework development for iOS (4+ years)

Introduction

The Adobe Design content strategy team is looking for an experienced and effective content strategist to partner with the Spectrum, Adobe’s design system.

You’ll be part of the Adobe Design Content Strategy (ADCS) team is a mighty group of content strategists, content designers, and UX writers focused on in-product user experience. The Content Team is a strong partner to the Spectrum Design System Team and is part of a larger centralized Design team that covers horizontal efforts like brand, icons, engineering, prototyping, and more. We have direct impact on every Adobe product across every business unit.

What you’ll be working on

Spectrum is at a pivotal point. We recently announced Spectrum 2, and over the next couple of years, many products in Adobe’s portfolio will be migrating to the next experience.

• You’ll embed with the Spectrum design team, working with designers, engineers, prototypers, other content strategists, and more

• You’ll bring clarity, consistency, and quality to the way we design our system, develop taxonomy and terminology, write documentation, and more

• You’ll develop strategies and standards on how Spectrum uses language, and how partners both on the Spectrum team and throughout Adobe should extend that thinking.

• You’ll work with our dedicated, tight-knit UX content strategy team to help us standardize the way we standardize our interface language (and if that sounds like a fun challenge, let’s talk).

What you’ll bring to the team

• 3+ years of experience in information architecture, content strategy, and/or UX writing
