Escape Recruitment are working with a specialist manufacturing company who produce highly engineered products. They are looking for a Senior Designer who will work "hands on" as part of the team whilst supporting clients and management with more strategic duties across engineering.
The Role:
- Leading design projects, allocate jobs and tasks, manage resources and work directly with customers to establish requirements and managing expectations and reviews throughout the project.
- Lead design activities for the manufacture of highly engineered products, ensuring good design and engineering practices are observed.
- Mentor junior members of the team, review designs and check drawings
- Generate Bills of Material and specifications.
- Identify and analyse technical problems, determining appropriate solutions and follow-ups.
About You:
- Experience working in a similar role, supervising and mentoring others within the team
- Degree qualified within a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience
- Experience in SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo or a similar 3D modelling package is essential
- The ability to perform engineering calculations and undertake analysis is required
- Experience working directly with customers to understand complex specifications and created design proposals from the same
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
