We are offering an excellent opportunity to join our multi-disciplinary ophthalmic imaging team on a full time, contract.
You will be preferably a qualified Ophthalmic / Medical Photographer, or hold a Degree in Photography and wish to train in Ophthalmic Photography.

We welcome applicants for the position of Ophthalmic Photographer in the Ophthalmology department at UHCW. Our department is a busy friendly department with extended roles in ophthalmic imaging practice.
The service uses state of the art equipment to supply diagnostic and clinical images to the Ophthalmology sub-specialties; Medical Retina (inc AMD), Vitreo Retina, Glaucoma, Oculoplastics, Cornea and Ocular Motility
A degree in Photography is essential, while qualification in Ophthalmic or Medical Photography is highly desirable.

1. To take a role within the ophthalmic imaging service for provision of digital imaging.
2. To impart medical and technical information to other members of the photography team / ophthalmologists and other professions as required.
3. To instil eye drops in accordance with appropriate Patient Group Directives.
4. To work if necessary independently within ophthalmic clinics in Coventry and Rugby adhering to Departmental policies and procedures.
5. To be trained and participate in specialist imaging techniques including those that may be developed in the future.
6. To assist as required in departmental organisation and administrative duties in relation to patient care.
7. To utilise the hospital computer record system to access information to aid with patient care.
8. To assist in the achievement of the requirements of clinical governance by monitoring and maintaining high professional standards of care with good team communication.
9. To complete where necessary clinical adverse event forms assisting colleagues as required.
