About the role of Design Manager
This is an excellent opportunity for you to join a new £60m project and play pivotal role in shaping the project through to completion.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the design process for the project, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project objectives
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop design solutions
- Oversee the preparation and submission of design documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Monitor project timelines and budgets proactively identifying potential risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies
- Facilitate design reviews and workshops, fostering a collaborative working environment
Requirements for Design Manager
- Proven experience as a Design Manager within the construction industry preferably with a Tier 1 Contractor
- Strong understanding of construction processes, design principles and relevant regulations
- Excellent leadership skills
- Proficiency in design software and tools E.g. AutoCAD, Revit
- A degree in architecture or engineering would be advantageous
