Technical Solutions Architect
Job Description:
As a Solutions Architect/Systems Engineer, you will provide technical solutions design expertise to Arrow Electronics, Inc. customers and Field Sales representatives in their direct selling efforts. As a technical resource, you will assist both customers and sales staff in assessing Arrow’s potential customer's application requirements and identify which of our suppliers' products meet customer needs.
The SA prepares detailed product solutions to support customer design requirements. This position combines product management expertise and Quality Management and Engineering knowledge to assist customers with the development and roll out of new systems and services to meet customer requirements. You will need to be able to provide analysis of product inter-functionality and troubleshoot potential areas that do not meet customer expectations, manufacturability, and quality requirements.
You will conduct product presentations, demonstrations and provide follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide technical expertise, leadership, and business level consultation throughout the sales process for assigned opportunities.
- Provide pre-sales support by working with identified Arrow Strategic Accounts and opportunities at a technical account ownership level.
- Delivers client value by managing project efforts of being on time, within budget and with high degree of customer satisfaction.
- Promote internal product awareness by working with Key Manufacturer and Partners of Arrow to provide updates and roadmap discussions for internal groups and customers on solutions, new and enhanced features, and overall changes that can affect the business communications solutions used.
- Provide market research and competitive analysis by maintaining knowledge of current and emerging technologies that will support business communications solutions. Maintain competitive market analysis of competing solutions. Will provide presales and sales team with current competitive market analysis of solutions offered.
- This job profile requires the assignment and participation in a sales compensation plan. A portion of OTE will be variable and tied to specific sales-related goals as set forth by Arrow.
What We Are Looking For
- 4 Year Degree or Equivalent Experience Business Experience including
- 4+ years of Systems and Design Engineering in a customer facing role
- 4+ years of field technical support, design and troubleshooting experience
- MCSE/Microsoft Blackbelt
- Understanding of current system technologies
- Experience in one or more vertical markets such as Medical, Telecom, or Industrial Automation
- Understanding and knowledge of system integration processes
- Operating Systems (Microsoft, Linux, QNX, VxWorks)
- Architectures including Networking, ATCA, cPCI, X86 Embedded including Desktop and Servers

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:
$102,200.00 - $165,003.30
Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
