Admin Support Officer

£24,669.75 plus £6200 London allowance
Here at Serco we’re looking for an Admin Support Officer to join us at HMP Thameside based in London. The postholder will manage all office processes and procedures, ensuring that they are fit for purpose. You will answer calls and emails, dealing with any and all enquiries, taking and circulating minutes of meetings, ordering office supplies and consumables and ensuring accuracy of office calendar and out of office answerphone/emails.
You will deal with incoming and outgoing correspondence, organising couriers, office filing and archiving, assist in the preparation of documents, photocopying and document binding and support in the collation of data for KPT’s and CDI’s, and reporting deadlines are adhered to.
As part of this you’ll:
- Assist manager in follow up actions to health and safety risk assessments.
- Oversight of the calendar bookings, assisting to co-ordinating in-house meetings.
- Supporting staff with IT queries where possible.
- Induct new staff to office processes and procedures.
- Proof reading, review, coordination, and analysis of reports.
What you’ll need to do the role
First and foremost, you’ll need to have worked in a similar role or have a strong admin background, excellent knowledge of all Microsoft applications including word and excel and be able to work in a highly pressured environment.
The successful applicant will be approachable, flexible, efficient, reliable, able to multi-task and possess strong attention to detail skills. We are looking for someone that can communicate at all levels, build strong working relationships and be a successful part of an ever-growing team.
