We currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced administrator to work within the Inpatient Mental Health Services based in Scunthorpe. The service works with individuals with mental health problems and is made up of a range of staff, including social workers, occupational therapists, nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, as well as administrative support, which is vital to the running of the service. The work is both varied and interesting and you will be a valued member of a supportive team.
RDaSH are offering this post along side the opportunity for you to complete an apprenticeship qualification [relevant to your role]. As an apprentice within RDaSH you will be given the opportunity to gain experience, learn work-related skills and obtain all the tools needed to thrive.
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Around 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. This leads to a nationally recognised qualification.
Whether you already work for us or are joining the Trust and NHS for the first time, apprenticeships can help you to develop the skills, knowledge and know-how in order to embark on a successful and fulfilling career within the health service.
The successful applicant will be required to provide a full range of, administrative and support services, based within a busy reception area. This will include the preparation of confidential correspondence, arranging and taking minutes of meetings, typing, inputting and retrieval of data on Health and Social Services systems and other varied office and organisational tasks. You should be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills and be able to manage competing demands and organise your work effectively to work to deadlines.
· To provide administrative support including general typing, data entry, photocopying/scanning documents & filing as required.
· To provide administrative support to the CRHT (Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team) for the scanning of documents and dealing with closures via the electronic patient database system.
· Undertake any photocopying and collation of Information Governance notes requests as required.
· To provide records for clinical staff as and when required via the service’s filing system or via the offsite storage system as directed by the line manager.
• To maintain entry and exit systems for the main building in line with Trust policies and procedures.
• To maintain accurate room booking diaries for effective planning.
