Provides effective verbal, written and electronic communications by receiving and passing on clear messages and seeking assistance when needed Acts as first point of contact for the person in charge dealing appropriately with all communications and tasks allocated, including sensitive issues. Administrative Assistant - Outpatients Department | Maidstone

Full Time Permanent | |£22,000 - £22,500 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and organised administrator to join our Outpatients Department as an Administrative Assistant. You will be responsible for providing admin and clerical support to the multi-disciplinary outpatient team and supporting the Patient pathway.

This role is ideal for an individual with excellent communication skills, who enjoys a fast-paced working environment and who can engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.

This is a 37.5 hour per week role working 5 days per week Monday to Friday 7.5 hour shifts between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00 depending on the service need.

Role Responsibilities include:

- Ensure all paperwork and patient notes are ready for the day's outpatient clinics

- Support the clinical team with all administrative tasks

- Support Clinical Nurse Manager with Minute taking in meetings

- Input patient information onto patient administration system as appropriate

- Adhere to patient confidentiality policies and procedures at all times

Person Specification:

- Will be a highly organised and effective administrator who is able to work with all levels of clinical staff and be empathetic to patient needs

- Have experience working in administration within a healthcare environment

- You must possess excellent IT skills and be able to work to tight deadlines

- Be comfortable working within a hospital setting dealing with sensitive patient information.
