Governance and Compliance ProfessionalSalary : Grade G £35,577 - £39,264 FTE
Hours: Up to full time (36 hours per week) all year round but we would consider part time and/or flexibly to undertake the role for the right candidate.
To start: January 2024
This role has opportunities for flexibility in terms of hours, weeks worked and location. Flexibility will be needed in order to be able to attend evening meetings as required.
The governance and compliance professional will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of governance effectiveness and compliance within the Trust and will be accountable to the board of Trustees, ensuring good practice and ensuring that the Board meets its statutory and regulatory requirements. You will also be required to work closely with the five local governing bodies in the Trust, working effectively with the Headteachers and governors to ensure continuity, organise meetings and agendas and ensure the smooth running and organisation of all aspects of governance for the Trust.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to work independently and be able to organise their own time whilst working to strict deadlines. The role will include providing advice to the Board of Trustees and to the Local Governing Bodies on constitutional and procedural matters and providing effective administrative support.
The successful candidate will either have completed the Level 3 Certificate in the Clerking of School and Academy Governing Boards or be willing to complete the training within their first year in post.Closing date: Monday 27 November 2023 at 9.00 am
