An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Admin Support Co-ordinator to assist the Booking Co-ordinators on a daily basis
The Admin Support Co-ordinator will be responsible for providing a comprehensive, efficient and effective admin support serviceensuring a high standard of clerical duties are maintained and deadlines are met.
The successful candidate must be customer care focused, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with patients over the telephone. As the role is within a busy booking team an ability to work under pressure is vital.
Excellent organisational skills are essential as the post holder will be responsible for the management of their own workload and to develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the services provided by the central team. Full training will be given.
The standard hours of work are 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday with a 1 hour lunch break with the need to cover extended working hours as required.

To ensure that all demographic details including the NHS number are updated accurately on the Patient Administration System for new outpatient referrals.
To ensure that referral letters are sent for triage to the appropriate consultant/speciality.
To follow up referral letters not returned from triage for designated specialties within laid down timescales – to ensure all referral letters are returned and the patient’s appointment booked promptly and correctly or confirmed as in the correct out-patient clinic (Choose and Book appointment)
To generate and send out letters to patients inviting them to contact the department to make an out-patient appointment (Partial Booking), taking account of clinic rules, urgent/routine ratios, cancelled clinics and specified return timescales for review patients.
