The post holder will need to have excellent communication skills, to empathise, motivate, persuade and negotiate in the course of line management of the administrative team, and deal with outside agencies. Will be required to communicate complex, highly sensitive and sometimes contentious information. May be required to investigate complaints, grievance and disciplinary issues relating to staff, taking statements and documentary evidence. Required to communicate with all levels of staff within and outside of the organisation; Consultants, GPs, nursing, administrative in the course of the job, passing on confidential and complex information on patient results. Required to deal sensitively with patient complaints, empathising and diffusing situations.
