Your new role
Are you legally qualified and experienced with a strong interest in governance? Would you like to work for a charity and transform lives through Higher Education?
This role provides an outstanding development opportunity to work in-house in a diverse and varied role. The purpose of this role is to lead on the provision of regulatory legal advice to the University and the Board and to hold the formal role of Deputy Clerk to the Board to ensure full Clerk support to the Board and its Committees. You will work collaboratively with the Clerk to the Board and the legal and governance team.

What you\'ll need to succeed
You will be a qualified solicitor or barrister qualified to practice in England with sufficient post qualification experience to work unsupervised. You will have knowledge and experience of providing legal advice in or to a regulated sector. Previous experience of governance is an advantage.
Benefits
- Salary range between £56,021 and £79,831, offer depends on experience.
- 30 days holidays+ bank holidays+ Christmas Closure period+ parental leave policy
- Flexible working hours and hybrid working pattern (minimum 2 days in the office per week)
- Entitled to membership of Local Government Pension Scheme (employer contribution currently 18% of your pensionable pay)
