Job Description:
Provides clerical support to counselors and others in the high school counseling office. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and school clientele.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and process a variety of documents and materials (e.g. new registrations, transcripts and transcript requests, student employment verifications, withdrawals, etc.) and disseminate information to appropriate parties.
Provide a variety of documents (e.g. transcripts, ACT scores, college applications, etc.) at the request of current/former students and/or their parents.
Research discrepancies in student records to verify graduation status, ensuring the accuracy of information.
Respond to questions from a variety of internal and external sources (e.g. staff, other educational institutions, the public, parents and/or students, etc.).
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Assist counselors in evaluating transcripts of incoming students; transfer grades and semester credit hours into the student information system.
Inform appropriate personnel of possible student course deficiencies; assist in addressing student course requirements.
Maintain a variety of manual and electronic student records; provide up-to-date reference and comply with regulatory requirements and established guidelines.
Perform enrollment and withdrawal activities (e.g. interpreting transcripts, updating automated student information system, etc.); ensure compliance with financial, legal, state, and/or federal requirements.
