Clerical Assistant
20.5 hours per week, 41 weeks per year

£25,918 - £26,119 pro rata / £14.20 - £14.31 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
We require a Clerical Assistant to provide all aspects of administrative support to Stromness Academy.
Previous experience in general administrative, customer-facing reception duties, Microsoft Office packages and basic financial systems is essential.
Duties will include maintaining records and databases, answering calls from the public, and all other administrative requirements on a day-to-day basis within this varied, but demanding environment.
A positive and enthusiastic team player is required who enjoys interacting with children and adults in a busy environment.
You should hold a qualification at SCQF 5/6 i.e., SVQ2, National 5, Standard Grades, O Grade, Intermediate 2, SVQ3, Higher, National Certificate, Foundation Apprenticeship in an administrative subject OR, where this is not held, there is a requirement to have minimum of 2 years' previous relevant experience, as detailed in the experience section of this person specification.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
