Your new role
Working with senior staff at SM and Partner level you will provide personal tax services to a client base which comprises of a mix of individuals, partnerships and trusts. You will prepare and review tax returns to ensure clients are compliant with all necessary tax legislation as well as undertaking tax planning work to ensure the most efficient and effective service is given. You will build excellent relationships with clients and colleagues within the firm.

What you'll need to succeed
You will possess good UK personal tax knowledge and experience gained within a practice environment. Relevant accountancy/ tax qualifications (or part-qualifications) will be beneficial but experience is key. You will also be a great communicator, will have good knowledge supporting clients with personal tax matters such as inheritance tax, capital gains etc and will be able to work collaboratively and effectively with others.

Their Office is based in Nottinghamshire and supports their varied client base in transitioning successfully into the UK by helping them pay the right tax in the right country at the right time and advise on VAT, corporate, personal and employment taxes. As this Firm's Personal Tax Senior Manager, you will be working with a range of individuals: Company Directors and CEO's through to company employees to support them through their taxation process.

Your new role
The Senior Personal Tax Manager within this role will be hands-on advisory with the future opportunity to progress to Head of Department level.

Key Duties:

• Managing the personal tax compliance portfolio:
• Managing annual compliance for P11D reporting
• Proactively managing an advisory portfolio
• Supervision and on-the-job-training of junior staff/trainees
• Managing a personal tax compliance portfolio, including review of self-assessment tax returns prepared by other members of the team
• Correspondence with HMRC regarding appeals and negotiations to mitigate penalties
• Managing client take-on process
• Billing/WIP management

What you'll need to succeed
The successful Senior Personal Tax Manager will be CTA, ATT or ACA qualified with sound personal tax compliance experience. Within this role you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team as well as working independently, requiring excellent organisational and communication skills.

We are looking for a legal secretary to join our busy and dynamic law firm in Nottingham. You will be working closely with our solicitors and paralegals, providing them with administrative and legal support.
As a legal secretary, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing and typing legal documents, such as letters, contracts, wills, and court forms
• Managing diaries, booking appointments, and arranging travel for solicitors
• Answering phone calls, taking messages, and handling enquiries from clients and other parties
• Filing, scanning, photocopying, and archiving legal documents
• Conducting legal research and updating databases
• Liaising with the courts, barristers, and other professionals

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Previous experience as a legal secretary or a similar role in a law firm
• Excellent typing and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software
• Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
