The role:

We are currently hiring a Admin Assistant who will:

• Ensure the smooth running of the Academy's Reception and Admin Support Service , including the provision of reception, postal, switchboard and stationery as requested and adhere to the administrative procedures and processes.
• Provide effective reception cover and receive visitors to the Academy, when required, and to communicate with courtesy and clarity to all staff, students, parents, carers, visitors, outside agencies and the wider community, including answering general telephone and face to face enquiries.
• Undertake administrative work ensuring timely completion to deadlines by providing general clerical. reprographics and administrative support ensuring that all tasks are completed in line with Academy deadlines.
• Maintain and update all administrative and information systems and processes as required, including retrieving and collating information to ensure the delivery of a high level administrative service, and produce lists, information and data as required, for example, student data and to maintain and collate reports as required.

We would welcome application from candidate with the following:

• Experience of working in a busy office environment
• Strong administration skills including proficiencies with IT systems such as Office or Google.
• Proven experience in an office supervisor or equivalent role
• Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with staff, students, professionals, parents/carers and outside agencies
• Ability to investigate, analyse and interpret a range of information and make objective recommendations

The role:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Admin Apprentice to work along side our exam's and data team. This position plays a vital role in utilising data effectively to establish academy-wide priorities, conducting timely and accurate data analysis, supporting behaviour and attendance management, and assisting with exam administration.

As a Admin Apprentice you will:

• Provide professional administrative support to the Data and Admin Office. To take ownership of your apprenticeship training.
• Promote and adhere to the Trust's values to be unusually brave, discover what's possible, push the limits and be big hearted.
• Complete the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard. You may also be required to complete English and maths functional skills (depending on existing qualifications).

Your Trainer will meet with you in the workplace every 4 weeks. In between these meetings you will have dedicated time away from your job to work on the apprenticeship and collate evidence for your apprenticeship e-portfolio with ongoing support from your Manager and Trainer.

This is an exciting opportunity to be in a real job, with real variety, from day one whilst working towards a qualification. The successful candidate will have excellent people and communication skills and will be flexible to adapt to changing situations.

To be eligible for the Apprenticeship, applicants must have resided in the UK or EEA for 3 years prior to the start of the Apprenticeship. Please note: applicants must not have already completed a Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship.
Please note: AET has their own in house apprenticeship scheme and do not work with any other training providers to deliver Apprenticeships.

This will be a fixed-term position and the duration of the apprenticeship will be determined by the job role and current skills. The typical duration of the apprenticeship is 21 months, however, can be longer or shorter depending on existing knowledge, skills and experience, up to a maximum length of 26 months.
