An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Audit Semi Senior to join a well-respected accountancy firm. This full-time role offers excellent benefits and competitive salary. Working hours: 35 hours per week.

As an Audit Semi Senior, you will contribute to the planning and execution of audit and assurance engagements across diverse industries.

You will be responsible for:

- Compile financial statements, reports, and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.

- Support risk assessments and test internal controls for clients.

- Oversee and mentor junior audit staff, offering guidance and constructive feedback.

- Delegate routine tasks to junior team members, whether on-site or in the office, and review their completed work.

- Communicate with clients to address audit queries and deliver findings.

What we are looking for:

- Previously worked as an Audit Semi Senior, Audit Associate, Audit Assistant, Audit Executiveor in a similar role.

- Possess 1+ years' experience working effectively within an audit team.

- AAT qualified or have completed several modules within the ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification.

- Aspirations to take on a leading role within the team.

- Strong IT skills, including Excel and

- Ideally have familiarity with Caseware Cloud and CCH Accounts Production.

Your new company
My client is a reputable 5 Partner firm of chartered accountants in central Guildford. A new opportunity has become available to join their audit team at senior level. They have a varied client base including UK brands and international companies, groups and limited companies.

Your new role
You will:

• Be auditor in charge, whether on site or via remote audit, ensuring work is completed by deadline and within budget
• Report directly to the Audit Manager
• Assist is the mentoring and training of juniors in the team.
• Assist with client engagement meetings
• Be involved heavily with planning, budgeting, completion and review
• Involved in complex accounts, such as groups with multinational subsidiaries
• Be assisted with personal and professional development in order to reach the next level in your career

What you'll need to succeed
You will be ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent, or in the final stages of your professional qualifications. You will have experience of leading audits and all stages of the audit cycle from planning through to completion.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary dependent on experience up to £55,000. Flexible working options are available in a hybrid working pattern with two or three days working at home. Further benefits on application.

• Manage audits from planning to completion.
• Prepare and review general accounts.
• Support the Audit Managers to coach trainees and support their learning and development.
• Monitor client deadlines and ensure these are met.

• Identify and assess risk.
• Able to work alongside and part of the senior management team and other sectors of the firm and support company growth.
• The ability to identify services that will add value to your portfolio of clients.
• Confident in networking to promote the department.

What you'll need to succeed

• ACA / ACCA or CA qualified or a finalist with audit experience within practice
• A self-motivated and reliable person who is eager to progress.
• Technically efficient in both audit and accounting
• A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team
• Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency
• Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written.
