Major duties include but not limited to:

• Assigns appropriate numerical and symbolic codes to obligate and to record data from documents into the general ledger accounts, obligation accounts, control points, cost centers and subaccounts.
• Performs a monthly review of the undelivered orders, accounts payable, accounts receivable, federal advance, suspense accounts.
• Responsible for posting each day's non-MCCF checks and electronic payments received.
• Ensures invoices are received and receiving reports processed.
• Works with Agent Cashier to update the cash account.
• Processes all deposits.
• Other duties as assigned

• Leads the team in identifying existing data resources, coordinating research areas and reviewing relevant legislation, regulations, SSA policies and other internal and external reports to accomplish project objectives.
• Develops comprehensive plans to accomplish complex and sensitive projects in accordance with applicable standards, policies, and procedures.
• Distributes and balances workload among the team members in accordance with work flow, skill level or job specialization, making adjustments in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Trains or arranges for the training of team members as needed.
• Analyzes information gathered to evaluate compliance with program regulations, policies and procedures, to evaluate accomplishment of program goals and to assess the economy and efficiency of operations.
• Formulates findings by identifying the cause(s) of conditions and developing recommendations to address them.
• Prepares written reports, memos and other documents to summarize the results of reviews and to present recommendations. Develops special reports as projects progress when significant issues are identified that require immediate corrective action.
• Liaisons with SSA staff on program and operational issues and negotiates to gain acceptance of findings and the recommendations presented where differing points of view may be strongly held.
• Leads the team in identifying problem areas and researching and analyzing information that results in new project proposals which have a significant impact on SSA’s operations and/or save Agency funds in its programs and operations.
• Reviews completed work and written products to ensure that instructions, priorities, deadlines, and quality standards are met. Identifies work products that do not meet established standards, referring unusual situations to the Division Director.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be at least ACA or ACCA part qualified with audit experience gained in practice either within a large UK firm or within a regional/ independent UK practice. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, a professional attitude and a good work ethic.

Your new role
Working with direction and support from Audit Managers you will work with clients ranging from SMEs through to large groups supporting them with audit and accounting services.
The main focus of your role will be to work on a range of audit assignments from planning through to completion - reviewing financial statements, testing to identify risk and
accuracy and to ensure accounting standards are met. Some work will be undertaken at clients' premises, with some work completed remotely. As an Audit Semi Senior/Senior you will supervise more junior team members and may lead aspects of the audit as well as liaising with clients.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will possess prior experience in external audit either as part of your current practice role or as your main focus. You will possess excellent statutory accounts preparation experience, knowledge and experience of UK accounting standards and will be at least ACCA/ACA part qualified.
Additionally you will possess good communication skills and will be able to build rapport with clients and work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
