This position will support the Revenue Accounting Department. The incumbent will be responsible for the preparation of various gross to net accruals and journal entries to support the monthly and quarterly close process, as well as the preparation and distribution of monthly sales reporting and analysis. This position will work with a wide range of staff levels and departments including Finance (i.e. General Accounting, Trade Finance, Government Pricing), FP&A, Patient Access, and Sales & Marketing. This position will review work performed by an outsourced global business services (GBS) support team.
Key Accountabilities
Monthly Close, Analytics and Reporting
- Prepare gross to net reserve work papers. Assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations. Investigate and resolve any open items.
- Participate in various monthly closing activities (i.e. preparation of financial analysis, journal entries, SOX controls, etc.).
- Review gross to net reserve work papers and journal entries prepared by GBS support team, and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback
- Understand and assess impact of adjustments to sales allowance reserves that will impact revenues. This includes external impacts such as changes in competitive landscape or shifts in customers buying patterns.
- Assist in preparation of additional analytics to ensure that gross-to-net accounting is accurate.
- Ensure all control requirements are met in accordance with Corporate and SOX guidelines.
Policies and Procedures
- Monitor and ensure compliance of company policies and procedures related to revenue recognition.
Audit
- Provide support during internal and external audits.
Miscellaneous
- Work on special and ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in finance, accounting or auditing (previous revenue accounting or public accounting experience a plus)
- Pharmaceutical industry experience a plus.
Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Excel and MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of OneStream & SAP a plus
- Knowledge of Accounting and US GAAP

- Desire to learn new topics
- Ability to take initiative/ownership and work issues through to completion
- Willingness to work outside defined functions of position when necessary
