Join us as an Internal Audit Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Group Head of Internal Assurance to deliver a complex, risk-based audit plan.

This dynamic role will involve evolving our internal audit methodology and aligning assurance activities across the group, ensuring our audit function remains at the forefront of industry standards. Key Responsibilities of the Group Internal Audit Manager: Audit Plan Execution (60%) : Lead and execute high-calibre internal audit assurance and operational reviews from planning through to reporting, ensuring timely and efficient delivery monthly.

Audit Plan Development: Support the ongoing development of a risk-based audit plan and approach, reviewed annually.

Assurance Support: Assist the Group Head of Assurance in quarterly audit committee reporting and other assurance activities. Methodology Development: Enhance the internal audit methodology to align with the operational framework and IIA requirements monthly.

Technical Review: Conduct technical reviews of audit work to ensure quality and compliance with methodology monthly. Team Coaching: Provide coaching and support to the audit team, promoting best practices and enhancing technical output as required.

Your new role
- Planning audit assignments, identifying key risks, assessing how to test them, assessing and reviewing the budgets through to completing the audit tests for high risk areas.- Leading audits, supervising, delegating and reviewing the work of trainees.
- Delivering information to clients in a timely manner whilst displaying in-depth client and industry knowledge.
- Monitoring your changeability and your assignment budgets proactively.
- Developing specialist sector knowledge and keeping abreast of industry developments.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external standards, rules, and requirements.
- Deal directly with clients in person and on the phone, constantly building strong relationships.
- Identify and understand clients' needs, including sometimes providing initial solutions to client challenges, then communicating these needs to the manager/partner.

What you'll need to succeed
- Previous stable experience of auditing and year-end / statutory accounts within an accountancy practice- Qualified ACCA / ACA
- You will need an aptitude for analytical thinking and good attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

As an Audit Team Leader you will be tasked with running audits for a range of clients ranging from SME's right through to medium-size and sometimes complex groups.

• You will be working closely with managers in order to undertake audit risk assessments and also audit planning.
• Visiting sites under audit to provide guidance and support.
• High level and extensive contact with clients during the audit process from initial planning right through to completion.
• There is also an element of supporting more junior staff to help them hit clear their reviews.

You will be someone who works using your initiative and strong technical and analytical skills, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Qualified and / or experienced ACA or ACCA.
• Varied audit and accounts prep experience.
• A strong and up to date knowledge of FRS102, and ISA (Pref also IFRS but not essential).
• Ability to supervise junior staff.
