Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including month and end-year process accounts payable/receivable cash receipts general ledger payroll and utilities treasury, budgeting cash forecasting revenue and expenditure variance analysis capital assets reconciliations trust account statement reconciliations, check runs fixed asset activity debt activity.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Maintaining accurate and complete financial records and participating in audits or reconciliations, as needed.
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
• Hiring, training, and motivating accounting staff members while supervising and delegating department tasks.
• Evaluating, developing, and improving department controls, systems, and procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
• Ensuring that all accounting processes align with FRS and current financial legislations.
• Analyzing financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as vendors or lenders.
• Meet financial accounting objectives
• Assisting other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.
• Keeping informed about the latest developments in the finance industry.
Accounting Manager Requirements:
• Both Master’s degree in commerce (M.Com) with accounting / finance subjects and Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA).
• Proven working experience in accounting position
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
• Attention to detail and the ability to analyze large amounts of data.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• High level of efficiency and accuracy.
• Ability to direct and supervise
• Experience in Management, Accounting, or a related field may be preferred.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles.
• Exceptional math skills.
• Willingness to comply with all local and company regulations.
