Who we’re looking for:
The Internal Audit Manager reports to the Head of Non-Financial Risk and is a key component of the Group’s risk management strategy. This is a hands-on role, which requires a high level of versatility. Collaborating internally and externally where required, the Internal Audit Manager will aim to deliver a well-balanced assurance program, using audit evidence and Risk forums to help implement process change, enabling achievement of the company’s strategic plan.
What you’ll be doing:
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Leading the end to end Internal Audit function to achieve balanced, commercial and value-adding assurance outcomes, to continuously improve adherence to the FleetPartners Risk Appetite Statement and Risk Management Strategy
- Contributing to audit strategy and planning activity, ensuring the plan is relevant to the needs of the business
- Developing effective stakeholder relationships at all levels in all areas of the business, including relevant third parties
- Delivering the day-to-day completion of audit activity in line with the Internal Audit Framework, including robust investigation, review and validation of wing-to-wing processes and control points, performing in-depth Test of Control (ToC) and Test of Effectiveness (ToE) exercises as evidence and clearly articulating audit findings and recommendations in a factual and insightful audit reports
- Provide independent and objective assurance over key business processes in accordance with the audit plan and key control testing plan or as directed by the Executive or the Board
- Support the Group in proactively and regularly reviewing business processes for continuous improvement, including documenting and reviewing processes and controls to ensure key risks are mitigated
- Monitor recommended and agreed remediation actions and follow-up as necessary to ensure risks are effectively addressed
- Preparation and Communication of audit status updates to key stakeholders, including status of open audit actions
- Be familiar with all enterprise system capabilities relevant to the Internal Audit function
- Practicable experience in Internal Audit, ideally within the fleet leasing industry, however strong candidates from risk advisory or broader financial services or banking sectors will also be considered
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent in audit and / or risk management disciplines, with demonstration of a strong understanding of corporate governance, risk management and assurance
- Experience with identifying, documenting and assessing risk and controls within the first, second or third line
- Strong understanding of Regulatory Compliance and Operational Risks impacting the fleet leasing industry
- Excellent attention to detail, presentation and communication skills
- Ability to think on your feet, self-motivated, forward thinking who thrives when collaborating with others to continuously improve the way we work
- Highly organised and energetic with excellent time management capabilities
