Main Purpose of Role:

The role of the CFCS Frequency Control Attendant is as follows:

• Monitor the frequency changer control panels.
• Respond to any issues with the frequency changers as directed by the Shift Manager.
• Carry out regular shift checks.
• Assist the Shift Manager with frequency changer operations.
• Provide support to the shift manager.

This is a control room based role situated within the Central Frequency Changing Station which is the central intake for all electrical operations at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Using your Fabrication experience, you’ll work on a wide variety of platforms undertaking structural repairs and alterations. Working to engineering drawings and technical specifications, you’ll manufacture structural modules, fabricate and alter structures in a variety of metals and thickness.

The role
As a Senior Design and Safety Case Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Devonport facilities are being developed to enable both the refit of active submarines as well as the defuel of the UK's retired submarine fleet, and the associated infrastructure.

Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for the governance and oversight of nuclear safety case(s) across one of seven plant management groups.

• You will be leading part of the team who are responsible for implementing the nuclear safety case requirements, including documents such as design reviews, change requests, concessions, hold points, and administrative control documents.
• Authorising safe engineering works, including handover and acceptance of assets into service.
• You will be part of the team who are responsible for oversight and management of control of work, site operations, plant maintenance and routine facility demands.
• Supporting projects designing and installing new engineering and infrastructure

• Experience of implementing risk assessments or safety cases.

• Level 6 STEM degree. Level 5 with significant relevant experience will be considered.

• Operations Manager - 6 month FTC
