The job role

This job will give you exposure to a variety of service environments that will contribute to your professional and clinical development. Bridgwater Town Council is a progressive employer looking for an Administration Assistant to service the area of Cemeteries and, when required, to provide administrative support to the Open Spaces and Operations departments. The role is required to deliver Council Services to the public and clients as part of a highly effective and professional multiskilled Council service team and proactively manage and resolve a wide range of public and client issues through multiple channels e.g., face-to-face, telephone, letter, email and other forms of communication.

Other areas of day-to-day responsibility include, providing administrative support to the Cemeteries Supervisor, receiving enquires from members of the public and to handle in a polite and professional manner, to liaise with stonemasons and funeral directors as required and, being responsible for ensuring all burial records are accurate and up to date.
