FUNCTIONS:
- Works for and/or in the absence of the Deputy Chief Consultant PBM/CMOP in planning, organizing and overseeing the activities of the national VA CMOP facility network, ensuring that the organizational elements comply with legal and regulatory requirements such that the mail prescription needs of veteran patients are appropriately met.
- Contributes to developing goals, objectives business plans for VA CMOP program that support VA PBM national pharmacy program goals and objectives for the VA CMOP Program when participating on the National CMOP Advisory Board or VA PBM planning meetings.
- Recommends, revises and/or reviews national VA CMOP program policies, procedures, mission objectives and organization design for staff and facilities to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, implement quality improvements, or in response to concerns associated with regulatory compliance and/or customer needs.
- Represents the National VA CMOP program and the VA for and/or in the absence of the Deputy Chief Consultant PBM/CMOP, both internally and externally as a spokesperson who interacts with a wide variety of VA personnel and private sector individuals as well as effectively communicating verbally and in writing with a variety or representatives from local organizations, industry, educational institutions, national organizations or other federal agencies.
- Meets with key constituents, customers and coordinating officials to assess the level of service satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedure as well as taking action to appropriately resolve any significant problems that arise.
- Assists the Deputy Chief Consultant PBM/CMOP in the completion of National CMOP program cost analysis, productivity reviews, establishment of a capital investment programs, monitoring of outsourcing and privatization studies including work measurement and other reviews or studies which contribute to the management of the program.
- Provides leadership support for research initiatives that facilitate the identification and analysis of national healthcare trends that impact/could impact on the national VA CMOP program and provides appropriately detailed responses to local, VISN and national level inquiries, when needed.
- Researches and detem1ines or recommends appropriate actions or interpretations of issues that impact the National VA CMOP program, the activities of the VA PBM or the agency.
- Relationships with management, co-workers, host sites, patients, and the general public are consistently courteous, respectful and cooperative in nature.
- Employee will display a cooperative and professional attitude and will effectively work together to implement the organization's mission and goals.
- Employee will ensure productivity and dispensing accuracy are maintained at the established level.
- Tracks problems to resolution or ensures that the problem is referred to the proper individual for resolution.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm (Will be determined upon appointment)
