There is an excellent opportunity for an experienced theatre practitioner to lead our Moorfields theatre and day care team at our Croydon site. The previous post-holder has made significant progress in their career to take up a matron post within Moorfields Eye Hospital.
The post holder will work alongside the existing Band 7 charge nurse in the Moorfields clinic and cross-cover each other under the leadership of the matron for the Croydon site.
The post holder will be responsible for the organisation and management of the Moorfields at Croydon theatre, day care and pre-assessment. S/he will be accountable for the overall provision of excellent nursing care and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary teams within the focused clinical areas.

Clinical and Patient Care:
• To lead the department as an expert ophthalmic clinical practitioner, ensuring that staffs have the appropriate skills necessary to care for the designated patient group.
• Demonstrate appropriate practice and specialist advice in the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and discharge of patient care. This includes history taking, physical examination and the requesting of agreed diagnostic procedures/clinical investigations.
• Lead on the provision of evidence-based nursing practice. Be responsible for the assessment of care needs, development, implementation and evaluation of high standards of nursing care.
• Be conversant with Trust Policies and guidelines and ensure compliance. Investigate and respond to complaints both written and verbal. Report information and findings back to the Matron.
• You will be working clinically as required providing clinical expertise to facilitate the safe and effective delivery of care and maintain own clinical practice.

Quality:

This is a Consultant post. The remit of the post holder will be to work within the multi disciplinary team providing and further developing care of dermatology patients, and to provide and develop dermatology services to Croydon Health Services patients. In addition, the individual will be required to play an active role in the general workload of the department while having a significant commitment to teaching and training of junior staff. The main duties and responsibilities of a Nurse Practitioner include: Carrying out clinical examination of patients in their care Performing diagnosis based on their assessment of the patient Taking specimen urine etc) samples and ordering test samples Creating short or long-term treatment plans Managing and providing post-surgical care to patients Offering special instructions to patients such as nutritional advice, information about weight management, etc. Performing routine medical procedures Performing periodic evaluations of their patients and referring them to specialists as necessary

Applications are invited for a Specialty Doctor post (SAS) in Radiology at Croydon University Hospital. The post will be for a period of 12 months (and will be converted to permanent if the post holder is suitable). The post holder will be expected to support the general radiology workload within the department including ultrasound, CT and plain film reporting. Specialty doctors will also be encouraged to report MRI and pursue a subspecialty interest and can be guided through this.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team of 16 consultants, 6 specialty doctors and up to 4 registrars working in a dynamic, friendly atmosphere. There is opportunity to undergo training with a support activity session included in the job plan. Specialty doctors are encouraged to attend MDTs and in-house teaching is available. Consultants are approachable and happy to support specialty doctors with any diagnostic queries. We understand the importance of developing individual radiologists including CESR application and research opportunity.

There is no on call commitment. Weekend work or extended day working are possible if time off during the week is required. All full time posts are remunerated at 10 PAs. Part-timers are remunerated pro rata. The salary scale for this post is £59,175 to £95,400 per annum depending on the number of years of post-training radiology experience. There will be an additional Outer London Weighting allowance.

This is a locum consultant post to join a team other Consultants in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. The appointee will be involved in the delivery of general gynaecology services including out-patient clinics and surgical sessions

This is a maternity cover post, modified to address increasing demand of a growing gynaecology service.

The post is intended to deal with an increase demand in out-patient and elective activities.This is a general gynaecologist/obstetrician post with 10 PAs per week. The clinical sessions will include weekly General Gynaecology/Rapid Access clinics and provision of community gynaecology clinic sessions. The successful colleague will take part in the on-call rota delivering emergency care in acute obstetrics and gynaecology.
