Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily construction activities at the project site, ensuring they are executed according to plans, specifications, and timelines.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, safety compliance, and adherence to construction standards.
- Manage and coordinate site resources, labor, materials, and equipment and machinery to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Resolve on-site issues promptly by identifying solutions and communicating effectively with all relevant parties, including general workers.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of site activities, including progress reports, work logs, and quality control documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety among team members and subcontractors.
- Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams, offering solutions to engineering challenges that may arise.
- Review and interpret shop drawings, construction drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation.
- Conduct regular meetings with project teams to communicate project status, goals, and expectations.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, assisting in cost control measures and change order management.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction site.
- Proficient in construction management software and tools (MS Words, MS Project, AutoCad etc).
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Possess problem-solving and analytical abilities, leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Valid driving licence and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
