The individual selected for this position will:

• Rendering professional legal advice and legal policy services to agency officials with respect to questions regarding laws, regulations, practices, or other matters falling with the purview of the Office.

What will I do in this position if hired?

In this position, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert in the Office of the Environmental Planning & Historic Preservation (OEHP) to ensure federal grant program compliance with the Clean Water Act (CWA), and/or the Coastal Zone Management Act (CZMA), and/or the Coastal Barrier Resources Act (CBRA).
Typical assignments include:

• Providing environmental planning and historic preservation policy, planning, technical assistance, and project compliance support specific to the CWA, CZMA, and CBRA and FEMA's programs and operations
• Collaborating with EHP and Program stakeholders at the headquarters, regional, and field levels.

As a CONTRACT SPECIALIST at the GS-1102-12 some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Serves as a Contract Specialist executing and administering contracts in support of DMA, OASD/PA.
• Experience ensuring compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) as well as DoD directives, policies, and instructions governing acquisition and procurement.
